Matt Scott is Chief Technologist for Processes at the NCC – the National Centre of Excellence for Composite Technologies – where he drives the scaling and industrialisation of advanced manufacturing techniques. Active in the composites field since 2012, his work has focused on automated manufacturing systems, having early on specialised in robotic Automated Fibre Placement (AFP).
He has spent the majority of his career in transitional research at the NCC, bridging the gap between academic innovation and commercial deployment across industry. Matt joined the SAMPE UK & Ireland committee in 2021 and currently serves as Technical Content Writer, documenting key technical developments and conference proceedings for the community.
