Professor Lee Harper is a leading expert in composites manufacturing at the University of Nottingham. Active in the field since 2002, his research focuses on numerical modelling and automated manufacturing for the automotive industry.
He previously managed the EPSRC Future Composites Manufacturing Research Hub from 2017 to 2024, uniting 16 UK universities and 43 industrial partners. Lee has been an active member of SAMPE since competing in the 2005 Student Seminar Competition, joining the committee in 2019.
He currently serves as Chairman of the UK and Ireland chapter.
