Matt Scott has worked in composites since his degree, first on robotic layup with AFP and then more widely on automation systems. Besides a short spell making aircraft seats out of carbon fibre, he has spent the majority of his career in “transitional research” at the NCC – ensuring that the best and brightest ideas conceived in UK universities are effectively scaled up and applied in industry.
