The UK and Ireland Chapter runs two programmes specifically for students/young people:

Annual Student Seminar

This annual seminar competition is an excellent opportunity for postgraduate research students to present their work to a panel of independent judges. Typically, 2nd year PhD, 3rd year EngD, or Masters research students participate. More details on this link.

In 2016, the Student Seminar is being held on the 16th June- more information on this link.

Travel Grants

We offer travel grants to young SAMPE members working with advanced composites in the UK or Ireland to broaden their experience and raise their profile. More details on this link.

RAeS/SAMPE lecture competition

This year the RAeS is celebrating their 150th anniversary and SAMPE is collaborating with RAeS to run a lecture competition.

The competition is aimed at young people, recently graduated and gives then a great opportunity to develop and present new ideas. For further details, please follow this link.
